For Wilding Shield
(From "N.Z. Truth's" Wellington Rep.) VALUABLE data for the national selectors will be provided by the Wilding Shield fixture which has come out of the past month's tangle of negotiations. After two months of effort, Auckland has withdrawn from challenge and the date for the first challenge match has been allotted to Canterbury. On February 21 and 22 the Canterbury four, Angas, Seay, Glanville and Rhodes Williams will come to Wellington m search of the trophy. , Malfroy will be available for the Wellington team, which is almost certain to consist of Don. France, Malfroy, Wilson and Len. France, unless A. E. Sandrall, Wellington, mixed ■champion and finalist In the New Zealand mixed championships, can succeed m deposing the eider France. This seems unlikely. Selector Browning, of Christchurch, gives his picking an even chance, but he hopes for too much. Rhodes AVilliams 7 and Glanville are still only on the fringe of the class of Wilson and France. .
