More scientific engineering of th'e engine and carburettor has made thia possible for "thousands Qf POW owners. It has been found that the increase of the compression ratio m the motor from 5 to 1 to 5.5 to 1 has succeeded not only m neutralising the added weight of the car and the increased tyre dimensions, but also has a marked effect on petrol consumption. Owners who have attempted to check accurately' their petrol consumption with both four and sixcylinder models, have found they . were obtaining economies m excess of 30 and 20 miles to the gallon respectively. The carburettor m both the fours and sixes has been completely redesigned to suit the high compression of the engine.
