MEN WE MEET In The Motor Trade
C H. KERSLLY
|70R sixteen years Claude Hilton j Kersley had gone down to the sea m ships, but at the end of that period the life on the ocean wave no longer appealed to him. He succumbed to the enticing demand of the comfortable existence of the landlubber. On leaving the sea, C. H. Kersley joined the staff of National Motors, Ltd., Christchurch, as a motor-car salesman. Six years later he was appointed sales manager of the firm — the
position he now holds. A striking example, this, of tenacity of purpose. Although ten years have elapsed since C. IT. Kersley's sailoring days, there is still a tang of salt m his blood, ancl when his work at National Motors, Ltd., does not demand his attention he is delving m matters pertaining to the Navy. He is an executive officer of the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve, being second m command of the Canterbury Division. As a lieutenant m the Navy during the war, Kersley gained much knowledge of sea warfare, and hi is the right person to infuse such knowledge into those young men who have volunteered to keep the foe from' New. Zealand's shores. .
