IN future Ethel Jane Moher^ can * go her own way. She is living apart from her husband, and he will have nothing more to do with her. She left Christchurch and went to Wellington, where she gained a position, but, while sharing a room with Beryl Watkins, at 20, Marian Street, she stole cosmetics and clothes, of a total value of £6/0/6 from her. Moher then returned to Christchurch, where she was later arrested. When she appeared m the Magistrate's Court, before Mr. E., C. Levvey, S.M., to answer the charge of theft, Chief-detective J. Carroll said that her husband would. have nothing to do with her. On her signifying her willingness to go to the Salvation Army Home, Moher was convicted and discharged, on condition that she would stay m the home for twelve months.
