■ PONSIDER the new art m shoes: There is a certain new shoe for *" very smart occasions, made m the "dressmaker" manner. It is of gold, and silver kid appliqued on crepe de chine m a cubist design, and is le plus -chic de chic. The fashion for spots of all sorts is very evident m the latest footwear. "Pettlpreka" is a new silk crepe, polka-dotted m : different colors. • Another Siioe is Of tan linen with embroidered blue spots. Shantung m flowered designs makes lovely footwear for white or light frocks. All the delicate fabrics are made with stilt heels. Crepe de chine is a very new shoe material, and mixtures of crepe de chine and satin are smart.
