WHY IS IT?
Sale Time Is "Broke " Time One of these days we hope to meet the woman with a great brain and a tense grip upon life who will explain to us why it is that .the sales always take place when we haven't ans' money! It's one^of life's little problems whioh awaits a solution. rOR the woman who is sufficiently * interested m her home and herself to wish to keep both up to the mark, there is no more fascinating occupation than a stroll round the shops — be it sale time or othei'wise. Lots of hard things are said about this subject, but to the woman with limited means to expend on pleasure, it is a recreation, and even though she ma^ not be able to buy all she would like, these shopping expeditions keep her m touch with the world, and they give, her ideas which are helpful m the home. ', After all someone has to spend the money. Man may be a hunter, but woman is the bargain -hun ter, and being a realist she has a far keener sense of values.. . . ..
