Vailar Leaves Hacks Standing (From "N.Z. Truth's" Auckland Rep.) Vailar worked himself out of the Hack class by winning the Robinson Handicap at Ellerslie on Boxing Day. He had the steadier of 9st. m a big field, but found the front early and sJmply raced the rest off their legs. He ran out the seven furlongs In 1.292-5, m ground which was not m favor of fast times. Vailar is a speedy beginner, which factor Will be a source of annoyance to the opposition m second class sprinting events up north.
