King Pointer's Late Form Reads Very Well CASE OF PUT AND TAKE (By "The Toff.") King- Pointer m the President's Handicap at Forbury looks easy money. He is on 4.30 m a 4.32 class, and is that good, that he should win, and win easily.
HE beat a similar field at Oamaru and for a mile and three -quarters, he was never off the bit. Orphan, which finished second to him at Oamaru, might do so again. But the racing Author Jinks had at Oamaru and at Addington should have tipped him off for Forbury where he is meeting King Pointer on 24 yards better terms. Silk Thread is gradually coming back to form, but Fight Ever, frorti 4.31, should prove too good for him. Dalmeny is the goods and he will go a decent race, but two miles may possibly leave St. Maura breathless at the end. At Addington, Quality began well. iniiHiiiiiiiiimiiiiiuiiiiiniiimiiimmiiiuiiiiiiiiiniiimiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiuiiimiiiimiiHi
She is a fast mare and a great stayer, but she is moody. Author Jinks should be able to give her 12 yards and beat her. Talent does not promise much from 4.28. He has failed so often from 4.30 that it is difficult to see how he is going to succeed off 4.28. Bonny Logan has been racing well and is shaping for another victory ere long. Of the back-markers Vesuvius reads best. If all the cards are on the table on Thursday, the order up the straight should be King Pointer, Orphan. iiiiiuiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiimiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiHiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiititi
