IMPROVEMENT^ • PEILDING is next week, and visitors to the meeting will notice that several improvements have been made since the last gathering. ' A new stewards' stand has been erected and this will minimise the crowding: experienced m recent years. The track down the home stretch has been widened and a new sevenfurlong starting-post has been put m. As time, arid finance allows, further improvements are to be made to the course. < »T PAYS THE Levin Club had a big cjrowd m attendance last Saturday. The executive was very liberal with tickets and the response was made the public. T*he tote was not up, however, but the shortage of money at the present' time is against all returns being up to par. During the day officials were vicing with each other to entertain visitors and the added accommodation on the .stewards' stand was sorely taxed.
