SCHRAMM'S SUCCESS

A BIG man m every sense of the word is F. W. (Billy) Schramm, barrister at law m Auckland. Those frank, wide-set eyes that look down on you from above carry a quizzical but friendly light of friendship to all those he comes m contact with. Perhaps that is m part some reason for his undoubted success m his chosen profession, for there is no gainsaying the fact that his practice is a large one. Wholeheartedness marks all his undertakings, for he comes of the pioneer stock that helped to make New Zealand what it is. The West Coast, land of coal and minerals, is Billy's birthplace, but one of his forceful calibre, always looking for greater and wider fields, was not content -to vegetate there when the march of events called elsewhere. * F. W. Schramm has filled many important positions m the Justice Department and has taken a prominent part m athletics, football, cricket and hockey. He also knows something about the art of self-defence and packs a hefty punch.
