Wanted — A Leading Southern Team (From "N.Z. . Truth's" Temuka Rep.) With the first pound of the South Canterbury Rugby Unionfs competition finished and the. first game of the second round played last Saturday, the championship table shows the competition to be in a more interesting state than has been the case for a good, many years. THE championship points to date are: Old Boys 8, Temuka 8, Celtic 8, Zingari 8, Waihi 2, Star 2. Halstead and Basset in the royal blue pack, were workers all the w^y, but the former missed some points by leaving his kicking boots at home. Orton and Anglem secured possession from a large majority of the scrums and this factor was responsible for Temuka's success, two of their tries being the result of- smart heeling work when on Old Boys' line.
