Marsh) could not draw the weight on hopping on to the scales. It was ascertained that the lad had lost a portion of his lead on the journey, hence the disqualification. Consent was produced m the Kuku maiden at Otaki, but had to be hard ridden to beat Just So (Chief Ruler— Rosie Demond), another two-year-old, by a head. . . However, Consent did his job m a manner which augurs well for his three-year-old career. He is being trained at Fordell by F. Tilley, for the Hunterville sportsman, T. A. Duncan.
