BADLY PLACED
Favorite Division At Barrier (From "N.Z. Truth's" Special Auckland <.Rep.) It was Kingfield's partiality for the soft going that brought about his victory m the Members' Handicap sprint last Saturday. ' ALSO the fact that the main fancies, rt Lorient 11., Sir Archie and King L.v j all drew bad barrier positions, while Kingfleld was out early and got there m time to stall off a late finishing dab ' by Oration. Sir Archie should improve with the race. > King Lv showed up well enough to , indicate -that he will be a danger-ous winter proposition, while Nancy Lee was plugging on. well m fourth place. As for Lorient 11., he was last eau-ly and then had little chance of success.
