"Baby" Graham
IT is a moot point whether the portly Baron de Beef of the Mustard Club has anything on Frank Graham, of Christchurch, when it comes to inches and corporeal substance. For Frank is one of the most commanding figures m Hereford Street, if not m Christchurch. The facetious call him "Baby," which at one time may have caused F.G. to smile. One can't imagine it nettling him. He is an integral part of Hereford Street and of the Stock Exchange. Calmly and confidently he moves m that Btrange worlffl of la haute finance, where they talk of bulls and bears: parcels and preferences. You'd size him up as a man who would remain aa immovable and impregnable as the Rook of Gibraltar ' throughout a financial storm and who would refuse to paniok. .
And so, confidence begetting confidence, it follows that he handles. many parcels and rarely misses a call on 'change. .
Lacking nothing: m business acumen, P.G. is aIBO a proven aport and a pretty shrewd Judge of one. He has owned a few "diwy"-returning noddies m his time and it would be straining the imagination to suggest that the turf owes him anything.
