BTEITHER distance nor absence necessarily make the heart grow fonder. At least judging by the case of Harry Christopher Stuart. His wife is m Essex 1 , England, where, m January, 1924, she obtained a separation and maintenance order against him. Harry hit the trail for New Zealand and has been a resident of this country ever since. In his case, however, distance hasn't made the heart grow fonder and all the money he has paid towards the support of his life's partner has been a matter of about £35. He now stands m arrears to the tune of something like £168. Arrested on warrant, he appeared before Magistrate E. Page last week m the Wellington Court charged with failing to comply with the order. The little experience was nothing new to Harry Christopher, for thrice before has he been haled before a court over'the same matter. On each occasion he has served a term of imprisonment, his most recent release from gaol being m October of last year. Maintenance Officer Manning couldn't find anything good to say m Stuart's favor so the S.M. handed out another little term of six.months' imprisonment,
