Tears and Smiles
JAMES WILLIAM HAMILTON, of Half Moon Bay, Stewart Island, may claim a niche "m the Dominion's topography as the proprietor of the most up-to-date little theatres one could imagine.
His cinema is situated at Oban, and, although so far south, it is one of the most up-to-date little theatres one could imagine.
Born m Bluff, Jim served his time as an electrical engineer, except when he was dishing out hot lead m the Great War — a period m which he was destined to receive both honors and wounds.
His picture show brings the inhabitants of Stewart Island m closer touch and thus, indirectly, does much for the tail end of our flourishing Dominion.
