The subtle gradations of light and shade, the glowing warmth of color, and the superb brightness of the phrasing save it from becoming stereotyped. On the other side, m Milhaud's vigorous Corcovado, we have an excellent contrast that shows Szigeti as equally master of technical difficulties.
