ROUGH STUFF
Some Incidents At Ellerslie (From "N.Z. Truth's" Special Auckland Rep.) What looked like a little rough stuff was dispensed by certain jockeys at Ellerslie on opening day. PARTICULARLY was this noticeable. 1 during the running of the President's Handicap and the Brighton Hurdles. Probably the stipes had a word with the riders concerned over the incidents referred to and did not think suspensions necessary. Still, keen onlookers pegged off at least a couple of prospective winners on account of the interference they met with, which undoubtedly prevented their winning on that particular day.
