Modern Sherlock

THE name "Sherlock" is always associated through clever fiction with crime and super-sleuths. In Christchurch, however, the members of the Canterbury Advertising Club will tell you that it stands for perfection m honorary secretaries. This Sherlock, hon. secretary of the live club run by the publicity men of Christchurch, is one of those rare mortals who believe m being always up and doing without fuss and bother. That he works as hard as any two men and, withal, finds time to look after the affairs of a growing club, is a tribute to his ability and his powers to get things done. For a long . time, he has held the post he so nobly adorns m the Adver~ tising Club and, at the last general meeting, was re-elected for a further term.
