MUDGUARD REPAIR

In the event of a mudguard becoming cracked, a repair can be effected by procuring a piece of sheet-iron drilled with 3-16th inch clearance holes in the corners, with one in the centre.

HOLES registering with those in the plate should ■be made in the guard, and eyelets as used on hoots passed through both the. plate and the wing! Small round-headed screws should then be inserted. through the eyelets and secured with nuts underneath. When the nuts are screwed up the eyelet expands and makes a joint through which water cannot possibly enter and cause rust to develop. The whole repair job can be effected in this manner in a very short time.
