The Uses of Publicity
ADVERTISING put our Gordon in the position he now occupies. Many a good citizen is now regretting the day when, between attacks on the ham and eggs, he looked at an advertisement featuring a handsome, war-tried young man gazing, with eyes apparently blue, into the reader's eyes. ■
It, wasn't an advertisement showing the after effects of some body-building food. It was merely Joseph Gordon Coates, his clean-cut, boyish features, assuring the gentle reader that things would be done. Things have been done.
So have the gentle readers
Indications seem to point at Gordon seeking other spheres of activity after the next election. Again he may use the papers. We may see a chaste announcement framed along these lines:
"Young Man "with good looks and Prime Ministerial experience seeks' position. An opportunity to do things is more important than remuneration. A fine chance for a business house to learn some new and profitable methods. Apply J.G.C., c/o G.P.0."
