Will Peter Manning Visit Dominion? (By "The Toff.") There is some talk of Peter Manning's owner being offered sufficient inducement to send the world's- champion trotter to New Zealand to give exhibitions and be matched with the best horses m this country. DROVIDED the sponsors of the *■ scheme can guarantee a decent sum, it is probable that America's idol can be brought to Maoriland. It is a question of dollars. As for the matches and exhibitions, everything will hinge on how the gelding stands the trip, how he fares while m quarantine, and how he is when put into work. The appearance of Peter Manning would be a big attraction. Unless he can be got fit to show the speed he is known to possess, however, everybody here will be very disappointed.
