D. Wills, of Hawera, won both the mile and 3 mile walks easily. This lad has improved m style- and pace.

Mick Darby won the quarter -milo hurdles comfortably from G. Broad m 62, but Broad scored m the 120 yards event m 16 2-3.

A. E. Gilliver, of Hawera, repeated his last year's victories m the high jump and hop-step-and-jump, and also annexed the long jump. He also won his heat m the 100 and 220 yards championships, so that he proved himself a fine all-rounder.
