Harman Reeves— On 'Change

TO say that he knows his financial onions is to pack a truth into the garb of a popular jingle. but Harman Reeves, of Dunedin, does know — and, what is more, keeps a very firm finger on the throbbing pulse of big business.

The recently elected president of the N.Z. Stock Exchange Association is a tall man of genteel bearing, with a slight suggestion of a stoop. Kindly eyes and a well-modulated voice betoken the softer side of a hard business head.

One of the best-known men m financial and business circles m the Dominion, H.R. has weathered most of the vicissitudes of life m Dunedin, where, incidentally he is American Consul. Member of Dunedin 'Change for 25 years and chairman on several occasions — also- member of the Representation Commission when it comes to altering electoral boundaries. He is, on the sporting side, an ex-oarsman of merit and now wields a good golf club, being one of the oldest living members of the Otago Golf Club.
