PRESIDENT'S HANDICAP
To-morrow's Star Forbury Event Under Review
(By "The Toff.")
The President's Handicap at Forbury is the star attraction on Friday. It is worth 700sovs. and is for horses that can tramp a couple 1 of miles m 4.42 or better.
BELL HAROLD has threatened to stay for some time, but to date he has failed badly oyer a distance. Downcast seems to be m his place, while Bonny Logan has yet to show stamina beyond ten furlongs. So far, she has acted like a non- \ stayer. ' >. Taurekareka won a mile and aquarter event at Addington and is shaping as if he will soon make an "early return to his best form. He is not too game, a failing that may. cause him to weaken m the home stretch. To expect Trampfast to keep his feet among the pacers is expecting too much. Trenand seems to be on a mark that keeps him following the others home. Few will forget Author Jinks' easy win at Addington and he will
| be certain to carry a lot of money | on Fridayi "Dalnahine is an improved horse and if the ground is heavy he will give the others a headache. . Fight Ever looks t.o be held safely by Talent and Away. Talent went good races at. the Cup meeting, where he: finished on v^ell ;at' the end pf his contracts. i '. Since the meeting he has trained. on m pleasing style and at Forbury he is capable of going up to his best. Regarding Away, it can be safely stated that he : is a very much improved horse and since his second to Tom Thumb at Addington he has come oh particularly well. N In what promises to be an intereSting_ race, . TAUREKAREKA, I TALENT and : AWAY ...'"■* promise to be well m the picture!
