Doctor Divorced

A DA PORTER became the wife of rk Dr. Albert Harding Porter ln 1894 and the petitioner, m stating the reasons for her application for a divorce on the grounds of desertion, told Judge Herdman In the Auckland Supreme Court that he never seemed content to remain for long m any one place.

. They moved from town to town and never did he seem content until at last m that fateful year 1914 he vanished — to America, his wife thought.

After he had gone, he wrote to the petitioner saying that he was going away for ever.

This was the last that was heard of Dr. Porter and he is now officially numbered among the missing — husbands.

A degree nisi was granted last week.
