GOINGS ON IN SYDNEY
(By Cable— From "JN".z. Truth's" Special Sydney Representative.) MIKE FLYNN had his second contest since he returned to Australia on Friday night at Leichhardt Stadium. He faced the bantamweight champion Billy McAlister who was under contract to make eight stone ten at the ringside and weighed m at 8.914 He was not m the best shape m the early rounds. McAlister's boxing won him points clearly, Flynn being repeatedly on the end of a beautiful straight left, but he weathered the punishment well. He came strongly m a surprising fashion' over the last three rounds, having Mac on the run. Flynn scored a knockdown tin the last round but Billy was up before count could be put on him. He was an easy winner at the finish. Stadiums Ltd.'s main event of the week, between Ted Monson and Tom Mclnnes was anything but an enthralling affair.
Monson f ought like a man m a dream and hugged unnecessarily. Mclnnes won with comparative ease. IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIH
