ALL RIGHT
Word About Our
Boys
A well -known follower of the game who arrived back from Sydney this week speaks about New Zealand, lads over there.
LIE did not see Charlie Purdy m action, nor m person, for at the time he was there Purdy had gone into hospital to have his injured ear operated on. •
From all accounts Purdy had a real beauty of a cauliflower.
Trowern was fighting well, but he had not ■ improved to the extent he should have!
Lachie McDonald pleased Stadium patrons most, and with his tear-in and never -stop tactics he was m favor with the crowd.
Connors, having Purdy and McDonald to look after, has little time to be on the easy list, but, then, Pat was not happy unless he was working.
Taking everything right through, the visitor was anything but impressed with the business.
The boxing he witnessed was of very ordinary class, while the way it was served up made comparisons with New Zealand 'very much m our favor.
