TREVOR ROBERT JOHN KIDD is an engineer, on the scow "Hairiri," but tjie scowls not the only vessel Kidd has been aboard. Some months .ago he spent, a few days on the schooner "Resolution" and the name of that vessal now marks an epoch m Ki.dd's life. There is also good reason why Freda Maude Phillips will remember the name' of the schooner "Resolution," for she found it necessary to apply to Magistrate Hunt at the Auckland Magistrate's Court the other day for an affiliation order against the engineer. Lawyer Sullivan" guided her I through the ordeal' and called a witness to state that Kidd and the young girl had spent several days together &n the schooner. . "1 wonder where the man's wife was while he was on the boat with the girl,"; observed the B.M. on learning that Kidd was a married man. An order was made for 12/6 ff a week, with £3/15/- back maintenance.
