Q.: My husband has never maintained me since the day I married him, and when I took him to court his solicitors said the man was mentally defective. Can I apply for a divorce on those grounds? — "Inquirer" (Halcombe). A.: Mental deficiency is no ground unless it continued for a period of at least seven years involving detention for at least three years m a mental hospital. If the failure to maintain has continued for three years the grourid of desertion will be available. ,
