That Plunket Shield

(By L. T. Cobcroft.) VV7E have heard ,a great deal about our V boys being so confident that they did not think it worth their while to cart the Plunket Shield to Auckland. For the purpose of an enlightenment to those of . that way of thinking, I would like to tell them that the Wellington Cricket Association has nothing at all. to do with it... The shield is the N.Z. Council's property and cannot be'handed over to any of ,the Plunket Shield teams till all the games have been played. Seeing that Canterbury have yet to play Otago the N.Z. Council is quite within its rights m waiting for these series of games to finish before forwarding the shield to Auckland.
