PurdyWillPutltUp Through "N.Z. Truth" Raymond . Jansen last week challenged Charlie Purdy to a return bout for one hundred pounds aside. TT did not take long for an acceptance of that offer to reach this office. Pat Connors who looks after Purdy's affairs no sooner read of the challenge than he picked up pen and paper. In his note Pat says Purdy will be only too ; delighted to accomodate Jansen, and the money is .ready at any time. Inter alia Pat says: "Naturally Jansen was a little disappointed when he failed) to master the clever Purdy, and especially so. after he had beaten Charlie's old rival, Trowern. "Like a good many more Raymond thinks he will do better the second time up." Everything is now m order for some association to step m and match the pair. . The interest m the return fight with such money at stake would be. terrific and the fight could not help but draw a capacity house.
