These improvements should add considerably not only tothe sweet running of the engine, but also to the life of the power unit. It was almost impossible to wear the previous engines out, but the new type should, like Tennyson's brook, go on for ever. In "N.Z. Truth's" idea, the five - bearing . crankshaft was the only thing needed to bring the Dodge to practical mechanical perfection, and according to reports received regarding the performance of the new power unit, the improvement m the running has 7 fully justified the added cost of production, which is considerable.
