Winter Cup A True-Run Race

Once again the Winter Cup has "been won by a horse that ran second m the Brabazon ten days previously. '.',',

Le Choucas early was the leader, but was allowed to drop m behind, leaving Sun Up to have sway. , Thus he got home by a length to win the 1926 Winter Cup. It was, as usual, a true run race and there was no loafing on the voyage, In fact, the time was | a record for the-, irace. f- I The winner has -always been noticed flying at the finish of his races last season and, as. these were six furlong events, the idea, that he would run on was correct. Civility was a bit unlucky m the race and her efFort was a particularly game <sne» .Looking at the race from the stand it appeared to be run cleanly enough and th&re is no reason to suspect that the right horses did not fill the places.,
