Alison (president of the Takapu'na J.C.) reached I that stage early m the week, and, to mark the occasion, § T.J.C. members presented their chief with a valuable grand--1 father clock and Mrs. Alison with a handsome Royal Wor- | cester china tea set. 1 The presentation took place at the Takapuna J.C club '< 1 rooms m the presence of a large gathering of well-wisbers, 1 and the general expressions of the! many speakers to the 1 toast of the guest of honor were full of admiration for the 1 sportsman who had been associated with the sport of racing 1 for so many years. | It was a happy little gathering with W. J. Ralph, ably 1 controlling the proceedings, as chairman.
