TO start off there was what is now * known as the Gray incident. It was Royal Divorce, the English horse owned by Mr. Riddiford — that brought about the life disqualification imposed upon Hector. v The next l stir was caused when Grand Knight — which was bought m England by Mr. Eric and then subsequently leased to his brother, Mr. Vivianstarted off to clean up the programme, but not when carrying "the cerise and white chequers Mr. Eric races m. Then followed the resignation of Tom Quinlivan, who . acted t as private trainer for the gentleman now getting the .publicity. I
sveek again, the news was ted that Capt. J. Gage Wilis resigning' from practically all his judgeships, and that it was just possible that he would at some near date take over his brother-in-law's horses. As if,, up to date, Mr., Eric had not had enough of the limelight the run- , riing of his ■ hurdler, Dubious, had to come unI der those m command. And now the stable trainer of jumpers, and the rider of same is suffering a twelve months' . disqualification. When the last incident happened, Mr. Riddiford was far from the madding crowd — duck shooting.
