It all began when a young lady laid a complaint for affiliation and maintenance against; Martin. » Then began the search for -James \ Alfred, Many days passed m looking . \, for him, and then he came to. light. ; But where, oh! where, was the girl? , §he had done the vanishing •-■ trick.. But the lady was absent and a week's remand" was applied for. Then the Magistrate innocently added a little humor to a piquant situa-* tion. . . .
