Here was indeed something worthy of attention. An edifice to endure, to inspire, to convey the wild and giddy heights to which municipal imagination can soar. With a modesty which is rare m local bodies, the construction was not ornamented with a tablet bearing the name of the architectural genius responsible for the wonderful work. ' "Truth" has, however, discovered that m the reign of Sir James Gunson, following on the demolition of the existing buildings m the park —
After all, what is a thousand or two htre or there? This may, of course, include the cost o' the low wall which bounds one side of the park. It will doubtless be said so. NEGLECTED BATHS "Within cooee are the Parnell baths, a popular and handy, resort m the summer time. "Truth" can speak with first-hand knowledge when it asserts that these baths j are a disgrace to any town boasting a municipality.
