END OF DUNEDIN CRICKET SEASON

V (From "Truth's" Special Dunedin Representative.^ The curtain came down quietly on Otago cricket on Saturday when Grange, by defeating Dunedin on the first inningd, won the Championship. At one stage the winners had four for 35, but Alloo and : McGregor played the "Rock 1 " game and carried the score past the 90 set by Dunedin. Iti this game Galland was caught m a most remarkable manner. He toucned one of Casey's fast ones and it spiralled high m the air otf the wicket-keeper's boot and was held. Although Albion looked m a hopeless position against Carisbrook they made a great recovery and won easi] y, prin.cipally through the partnership of Caskie (81) and Binnie (64). , In Carisbrook 's second knock Dickinson made a brilliant century m 45 minutes, playing shots all round the wicket. The championship points are Grange (11), Dunedin (8), Albion (8), Carisbrook (3).
