BRADSHAW'S BASHFUL BLISS
■ • ■ • ■ .- ■ . . .» «. (From "Truth's" Special Auckland Representative.) It happened that Jean Bradshaw was m Karangahape Road the other night when she met George; her hubby. There was a scene. The frightened woman ran to a bystander for protection. Common chivalry demanded that the part of the gentler sex should -be championed, and this' was no doubt what led Michael Francis Lynen to shoulder the duty unexpectedly thrust upon him. The irate George declined to brook interference and promptly clouted the mediator, causing nasty damage to Lyden's mo.uth. When charged with assault,. Bradshaw called his wife to give evidence. She said:" You were not assaulting me, George, but you were pulling me about.!,' i. The list of the pugnacious George was a rather uncomplimentary one, containing previous entries for assault. He was described as a dangerous man when m drink. This paved the way to Mt. Eden for George and Jean will have peace for a month*
