' Glengariff, 'a good hack, won at Waver ley with a pound less, . and he can be. depended upon to go all right to-day. Next to him is Newbury King, who will have improved a deal by ( his race at Ashhurst. . Dressed m his best, this fellow can scoot. Tempean won at Cartertoh over a furlong less, and was running- on ■ at the finish. Subjection scored at Masterton and failed at Trentham. Since then .he has had a let-up, which would do him good. Sea Star has had two runs for. two wins this season, and on that form she is going to carry a lot of bullion. She is credited with possessing more than average pace. Road Hog always shows pace m his races,, but he does not win too many. The fact that he has shown form on the course before to-day might be worth remembering. Padonna is ; another .fast one. and so is Penman, who would keep them all busy if he were to get back to his early .spring form. But it-is just possible lie has been knocked out by travelling. Sole Mio ran reasonably well at Levin for just on six, but 'he would have. to go a lot better to have a winning, chance to-day. Ratigimoana is ■ not liked, nor is Anklet; but Gold Clip is no slug. Argue-has no chance on Levin form, but Kyla has. She stuck out six well m the Maiden, and' after getting away badly m the ■final event, was finishing on m great 'style.
