Two Furlongs from Home

It was a good thing for the judge that the winning post is not at the two furlong,s at Riccarton. Had it been he would have had a lot of anxiety m the Winter Gup. When they straightened up for home m this race there was a line of them across the. course. The first and the second horse were clear of this line but not too far. And of course to spoil things both .Kuhio and Sun Up had to leave the rest of the field astern!
