MEDICAL EVIDENCE IN NAPIER CASE. Following the fracas on the Marine Parade, Napier, the other day when the matter of the possession of a child was m dispute, and the subsequent death of William Chalmers Clark caused John and Maurice Breen to be ar-r rested on charges of manslaughter, some new light was thrown on the affair when a Coronial inquiry was held into the circumstances surrounding the death. Medical evidence went to show that deceased had suffered only superficial injuries, and a yerdict was returned that death was due to a diseased heart, embarrassed by the excitement arising out of the struggle.
