THE HEAVY TITLE.

Not Understood.

Mike Flynn drops a line over the heavy title clamoring: "Re your report, I am sorry you have misunderstood me m thinking it was my personal opinion that O'Sulltvan should get the title. lam neutral m the matter. The recognised thing m the boxing world is that on the title becoming vacant it usually reverts back to the person who was last m possession; therefore my claim for O'Sullivan is warranted. Modrich and Young never contested for title honors, consequently they have no legitimate claim. We are anxious that this controversy, which is exciting so much public interest, be settled by the New Zealand Council at an early date. Should O'Sullivan be successful he is willing to be matched under any association with the aforesaid persons for the title, including a substantial side bet." .

As m my previous par, I will again inform O'Sullivan, through Mike, that it is not incumbent on the Council to g-lve the title to the previous holder. Mike should know this. Didn't the old Council thieve his title away and give it to Curran and Brown for competition?
