The distinction made at Home between the professional and the lilywhite amateur is sickening, especially more so when a whole lot of the lilywhites live on the game. When the team brought out to New Zealand by MacLaren went into quarters m the different towns, the two pros., Freeman and Tyldesley, were put up at a separate hotel from MacLaren's party of lily-whites.
