THE HEAVY TITLE.

O'Sullivan a Claimant.

Mike Flynn. advises, me that he has applied /to • the New Zealand, Council for the heavyweight - title for Jim O'Sullivan, who held the emblem for a few brief weeks. In his letter Mike says: "O'Sullivan fbught Heeney for it, and it does not matter how many lie has- lost to,, before the six months were up. He was not then champion, so they have not any claim to the title whatsoever." That is a matter of opinion, Mike, and remember it is not incumbent on the Council to pass the title back to the previous holder. To my way of thinking Modrich . is- the fellow \ for the . title, but whether he can hold it, once he gets it is another matter. _ '■__ •
