Carr v. Pascoe,
Charlie 'Peoples sends me the following from Greymouth: "The next ' fight here will be early m February, the contestants being Jimmy Carr (Millerton) and Dick Pascoe (Grey- * mouth), for a purse of fifty pounds. Carr is fighting m great style. The Napier Association offered me a match i for George Eagle, purse one hundred and twenty-five, but I could not accept owing to not knowing the date he is *i coming. His opponent was to be either Parker or McDonald. If he arrives I have given Napier the first call 4 on his services." 1
