STRAND THEATRE.

The Master Picture, "Poisoned Paradise," ' Robert '.W. Service's" expose of Monte Carlo, the famous gambling quarter, is the chief attraction at the Strand. Clara Bow plays Margot Le Blanc; Carmel Myers, Mrs. Belmane; Kenneth Harlan, the double roles, Hugo Kildair and Gilbert Kildair; and Raymond Griffith, Martel. The lure of the East, the mystery of the Sahara, the enchantment of nights under tropical stars — all these fascinations are found m "When the Desert Calls," a Master Picture also screening at the Strand. It is more than an atmospheric picture— it has plot m every scene and tells a dramatic, powerful story of love and hate, revenge and sacrifice, of wonderful heroism and a girl's devotion to the memory of the man she loves.
