It was raining.. So the Governor took up' his sackful of lunch and hiked over to a lonesome farmhouse a quarter of a mile away. "He went round to the back door, said he wanted to come m out of the wet, and -had brought his lunch with him, inviting the kiddies m the, house to have, some of his cakes. "His Ex. had a good time playing with the children of the house — he is devoted to youngsters — told tl?e farmer and farmeress that he was the Governor, waved a glad hand — and_returned to the car. No wonder the Viscount wins the Popularity' Stakes!"
