SEXUAL OFFENDER SENTENCED

-Taking into account a recommendar tion to mercy from the jury, and also the youth of the prisoner, Mr. Justice ■Adams^ treated young Francis Herbert Fowler very leniently when that youth, aged 19 years, cajtne before him at the Grey,mouth Supreme Court for sentence last week on a charge of having committed an offence on. a girl under the age of sixteen years. . His Honor also, conimented favorably on the fact that prisoner had not perjured himself when-giving evidence m his own defence. The sentence was a. month's imprisonment. .
